Cookie Policy

This Cookie Policy explains how Navya (“Navya”) uses cookies and similar technologies on the Navya website (navyasocial.in) and on the Navya mobile applications. It should be read alongside our Privacy Policy.

1. What are cookies?

Cookies are small text files that a website places on your device when you visit. They allow the website to remember your actions and preferences (such as login, language, and font size) over a period of time. On our mobile apps we use equivalent technologies such as local storage, IDFA (iOS), and AAID (Android) where permitted by you.

2. Categories of cookies we use
Strictly necessary

These are essential to operate the Service — they keep you logged in, remember items you select, and protect your session from unauthorised use. The Service will not work without them. They do not require consent under Indian law.

Functional

These remember choices you make (city filter, dark/light mode, language) so you don't have to re-enter them on every visit.

Analytics

We use first-party analytics (built in-house) to understand which features are used most, where users get stuck, and how to improve the Service. We do not share analytics with third-party advertising networks.

Advertising

Navya does not place advertising cookies and does not run third-party advertising on the Service.

3. Specific cookies on navyasocial.in
  • navya_session — strictly necessary, keeps you signed in. Expires in 30 days.
  • navya_csrf — strictly necessary, prevents cross-site request forgery. Session only.
  • navya_age_gate — strictly necessary, records that you have confirmed you are 18+. Expires in 1 year.
  • navya_prefs — functional, stores theme and city filters. Expires in 6 months.
  • navya_analytics — analytics, anonymous identifier for first-party usage analysis. Expires in 90 days. Set only if you accept analytics on the cookie banner.
4. Your choices

On your first visit you will see a cookie banner. You can accept all, reject non-essential, or open settings to choose category-by-category. You can change your preferences at any time from the “Cookie settings” link in the footer. You can also block or delete cookies using your browser settings; if you do, parts of the Service may stop working as expected.

5. Mobile apps

On the Navya Android and iOS apps, we use only essential local storage and never use third-party advertising SDKs or trackers. We do not use the Android Advertising ID (AAID) or Apple's IDFA for any purpose.
