Terms of Service
These Terms of Service (“Terms”) form a binding contract between you and Navya Technologies Private Limited (CIN U72900KA2024PTC178945), a company incorporated in India with its registered office at 12th Floor, Indiqube Garden, 100 Feet Road, Indiranagar, Bengaluru, Karnataka 560038. By creating an account on navya.in, the Navya mobile application on the Google Play Store, or the Navya mobile application on the Apple App Store (collectively, the “Service”), you agree to these Terms.
These Terms constitute an electronic record under the Information Technology Act, 2000 and do not require any physical, electronic, or digital signature.
1. Eligibility
You must be 18 years of age or older, of sound mind, and legally competent to enter into a contract under the Indian Contract Act, 1872. You must reside in India and use the Service for personal, non-commercial purposes only. You may not use the Service if you are barred by any applicable law from doing so.
2. Account & verification
You agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information during signup, and to keep your information up to date. You will complete the verification process — submission of a selfie and one Indian government-issued photo ID — within 7 days of registration. You are solely responsible for all activity on your account and for keeping your login credentials confidential.
3. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Impersonate any person, misrepresent your identity, age, marital status, or affiliation.
- Upload photos that are not yours or that you do not have rights to use.
- Solicit money, gifts, OTPs, identity documents, or financial information from any user.
- Promote any commercial activity, MLM scheme, escort or prostitution service, or recruit users to other platforms.
- Post content that is unlawful, defamatory, obscene, harmful to children, infringing, fraudulent, hateful, threatening, or violative of any law in India.
- Harvest, scrape, or copy any data from the Service.
- Reverse-engineer, decompile, or interfere with the Service’s operation.
Violation of any of the above will result in suspension or permanent termination of your account, and where required, reporting to the appropriate authorities under the IT Act, 2000 and the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita, 2023.
4. User-generated content
You retain ownership of all content you upload (photos, bio, messages). You grant Navya a limited, worldwide, royalty-free, non-exclusive licence to host, store, display, and transmit that content for the sole purpose of operating the Service. This licence ends when you delete the content or your account. You are solely responsible for the content you upload and warrant that you have all necessary rights to it.
5. WhatsApp connect feature
Navya facilitates introductions by opening a deep-link to WhatsApp with the other user's phone number, where both users have consented to share that number. WhatsApp is operated by WhatsApp LLC; once you leave Navya, your conversation is governed by WhatsApp's Terms and Privacy Policy. Navya is not responsible for any communication, conduct, or interaction occurring on WhatsApp or any other off-platform channel.
6. Premium subscriptions and payments
Navya offers optional paid Premium memberships. Prices are displayed in Indian Rupees and are inclusive of applicable taxes (GST). Payments are processed by Razorpay or, on the mobile apps, by Google Play Billing / Apple App Store, in accordance with their respective terms. Subscriptions auto-renew unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Cancellation and refund terms are governed by our Refund & Cancellation Policy.
7. Intermediary status
Navya is an “intermediary” as defined under Section 2(1)(w) of the IT Act, 2000. We do not initiate, select, or modify the content posted by users. We comply with the due-diligence obligations under the Information Technology (Intermediary Guidelines and Digital Media Ethics Code) Rules, 2021. See our Intermediary Guidelines page.
8. Disclaimer of warranties
The Service is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis. Navya does not guarantee that you will find a partner, or that any user is suitable for marriage, partnership, or any other purpose. Verification establishes identity, not character. You are solely responsible for your decisions about whom to meet and how.
9. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by Indian law, Navya's total liability arising out of or in connection with these Terms or the Service shall not exceed the total amount paid by you to Navya in the 6 months preceding the claim. Navya shall not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of profits, data, or goodwill.
10. Indemnity
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Navya, its directors, officers, employees, and agents from any claim, demand, loss, or damage arising out of your breach of these Terms, your violation of any law, or your infringement of any third-party right.
11. Termination
You may delete your account at any time via Settings → Account → Delete, or by writing to support@navya.in. Navya may suspend or terminate your account at any time, with or without notice, if you breach these Terms or for any conduct that Navya, in its sole discretion, believes is harmful to other users or to Navya.
12. Governing law & dispute resolution
These Terms are governed by the laws of India. Any dispute shall first be attempted to be resolved through our Grievance Officer (see Grievance Redressal). Unresolved disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts at Bengaluru, Karnataka, India. Consumer disputes may also be filed before the relevant Consumer Forum under the Consumer Protection Act, 2019.
13. Changes
We may revise these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by email and via an in-app banner at least 14 days before they take effect. Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance.
